Description:Responsible for providing screening, referral, mental health treatment, and case management services to identified children, adults, and families.
Duties:1. Provide intake assessment, diagnosis, ongoing therapeutic services and community support services, including case management, to identified children, families and adults in a culturally competent manner within the most appropriate environment.

2. Provide family, individual, marriage and group counseling within a managed system of care to consumers and maintain a minimum of 80% of work hours in billable service hours.

3. Develop treatment plans which focus on consumer strengths, needs, and goals within the briefest time frame for successful achievement. Intake assessments to be completed within 14 days and treatment plans processed within 30 days. ISTs and ITP/ITCPs to be completed as required.

4. Establish and maintain working relationships with community resources, coordinate consumer treatment with other providers and initiate referrals to medical providers or other community resources when appropriate.

5. Participate in supervision, multi-disciplinary team staffings, training, ethnic consultation and psychiatric consultation as required.

6. Provide consultation for community contracts, as requested.

7. Provide services and maintain records to meet GCBH requirements, level of care standards, and agency policy.

8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of this Therapist position. Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, talking and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 80% of the time. Position also requires ability to drive with adequate vision.

Non-Physical Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences required; Master's degree preferred.

2. Experience: Two years mental health experience with children, families and adults preferred. Mental Health Professional (MHP) designation or eligible for preferred.

3. Special Skills:
Strong family and individual assessment skills. Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to conduct home visits.
Ability to provide service in a culturally competent manner.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Ability to represent the agency in a professional manner within the community.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

4. Licensure, Registration, Certification:
Counselor Registration with the State of WA required; licensure as a social worker, mental health counselor or marriage and family therapist with the State of WA preferred.
Child Mental Health Specialist and other specialist designations preferred.
Valid WA State driver’s license, access to vehicle and minimum required liability insurance.
